Nonprofit Sustainability

Barbara Peery, former Director of Programs, Foundation for Roanoke Valley:

Having previously worked for 13 years as Director of Programs of Foundation for Roanoke Valley, I believe that The Advancement Foundation is providing a valuable service to nonprofits that do not have the financial or staffing resources to fully explore funding opportunities.  The nonprofits that participate in the Foundation’s programs and grow funding capacity will, in all likelihood, have long-term success and be more viable organizations so that each can better meet the needs of the populations it serves.  This will result in enriching the lives of numerous individuals in the Roanoke Valley and making our community an even better place to live.
